Before works, existing tree beneath whose shade the shelter and seating were visualised.Again given location and context we felt a structure would be out of scale, un-necessary and would not respond to the local landscape.

After works, shelter design responding to the terrain and context. We built along the existing slope rather than undertake cut and fill and located a skill roofer from a nearby village to weave the shelter around the tree.
